Finding Your Life Purpose

This one's a toughy for most. It's confusing because your purpose is what you were made for. It's what you are, or will be good at. Better than any one else in that position. It was created for you and you alone.

Sounds like it should be straight forward right? That it shouldn't be so hard if it comes so naturally to you and from you. But in reality for a many people it's something that seems impossible to figure out. We spend time trying to 'find ourselves', and purposely go looking what we're meant to do with our lives, that we don't realize we're looking out into the world trying to find something we already have. And by the way, we're looking for what we don't know! Doesn't that just sound crazy?

If we're made for something, then you could say we're destined for it. So why go looking for it?

The truth is, it's not something you can go out and find, because it's already in you. In today's world, where there's so many new things, and so many options of what you could do, it's so confusing. It's spiritually noisy, and you can't even sit still, and get to know yourself. We're so busy trying to fit in, get this, do that, because that's what the world's into, but are you? Shut all that nonsense out, and figure out what you like, and you're about.

Finding your purpose usually comes quicker to those who live openly and freely. Those that just go through life, living it the best way they can, in a positive state or attitude towards it, and that's because they tend to be in touch with themselves and just go with the flow of life, which ends up placing them where they need to be, when they need to be. They don't fight the process. Granted, there are those that are fortunate enough to start living out their purpose from when they're tiny tots. Why some and not others? You'll have to take that up with the man upstairs.

Absolutely everything that happens, good or bad, happens for a reason. There's a process and a plan. So don't fight it, just live. Even when you're in the crappiest of situations you've got to realize that there's a good reason for it. Nothing lasts forever. Life has seasons, in and out, up and down. And you'll grow from those tough experience as a person, which usually prepares you for the next stage in your life. Moving upwards in life always means the next phase will be a challenge, that's just how it works. That's life.

Just know that as you go with the flow, and pray and trust, you will absolutely end up where you're supposed to be, and doing what you were made for. And by the way, in case you worry if what you're destined to do is something you'll enjoy or not, i can assure you, you'll love it absolutely. God is so good (if you didn't know), that all the things you like, all the things that bring you genuine joy as a particular person, He put in you. And it's all for the purpose of what He made you for. Even if what you love seems superficial, it doesn't matter. Because if it's genuine, God made you for that. He gave you that talent or knack that you have. And you working in that industry, in that place, will bless others in all kinds of ways.

So don't worry about what you don't know or can't see. Just enjoy your life, have the right attitude, and be good to others because that absolutely affects your quality of life. You can't find your purpose. It will come to you naturally, and you'll know it when it does.

Lots of Love, Mel
